Plus, its highly efficient design ensures that your pool water is clean, crystal clear and clear year after year. Pool water is directed through a pressure vessel filled with sand that traps particles so small they are invisible to the naked eye. Over time, dirt builds up in the spaces between the sand particles, causing the pressure in the vessel to increase. It is then time to “backwash.” Simply reverse the flow of water to “throw” the dirt out. The unique internal design of all Pentair filters keeps the sand bed level, ensuring a uniform flow of water, resulting in the most efficient filtration available. • One-piece thermoplastic tank provides exceptional strength, is corrosion resistant and very durable.
