Prevent algae before they become a problem

The addition of an algicide is necessary for the proper maintenance of a swimming pool. Sanitizers or shock/oxidant treatments alone cannot control algae. Therefore, this step is necessary to keep your pool perfectly free of any visible growth. This is the third part of the BioGuard 3-Step Pool Maintenance Program and the Smart PAK BioGuard Program.

Do algicides eliminate all algae?

Alclides are not all the same, only algicides have been approved by the PEST Control Regulatory Agency (ARLA) as eliminating algae are actually effective. All BioGuard products have been comprehensively reviewed and proven to be effective. The various types of algae require different treatments to ensure their elimination.
